EBP reassures customers following legal action by Epson against DCI

APRIL 2011 (London) – Patrick Stead, founder, owner and chief executive of EBP:
In light of recent announcements of legal action being taken by Seiko Epson against one or more European compatible cartridge manufacturers including DCI (Dynamic Cassette International Ltd) in the UK, EBP is happy to confirm its position as the leading European collector and remanufacturer of Epson inkjet products.
We take this opportunity to reassure and make clear to all our customers that our remanufactured Epson products do not fall within the scope of Seiko Epson’s current litigation, and their focus applies only to newly made compatibles. We welcome confidential discussions with any concerned parties as to the integrity of their current supply chain and also the legal status of their Epson offering.
We support Seiko Epson in taking a strong stance against any abuse of their intellectual property rights, and hope that the current situation results in a fair and level playing field for everyone involved in the cartridge remanufacturing industry in Europe.
